We’ll take this casting announcement from SpoilerTV with a grain of salt, as The Vampire Diaries Season 5 hasn’t begun filming yet (though it is slated to start sometime in July). However, if the report is true, it means four new characters are headed to Mystic Falls Whitmore College.
Here’s the breakdown: Nadia is described as “emotional and beautiful,” in her 20s, and someone who’s been traveling the earth on a “vengance” mission. She sounds like a vampire to us! Jesse is an upperclassman at Whitmore. Sorry, that’s all the info we’ve got on him. Her?
Megan is described as “too smart for her own good.” Yeah, that kind of inquisitiveness can definitely get you in trouble with the vampires. We’ll see those three in the first episode. We know there’s a time jump between the Season 4 finale and the Season 5 premiere, so it’s very possible we’ll open with Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) heading to college and making new friends — or enemies.
Another recurring character named Tessa will show up in Season 5, Episode 3. Here’s where things get strange, because she’s apparently “a nobleman's daughter.” Sounds like we’ll meet her in a flashback, right?
